Mazda 6 and Audi a6
The Mazda 6 and Audi a6 are cars made in two different countries and with several different features. But they are also both some of the most commonly bought cars on the market today, and for good reasons. Choosing bewteen the Mazda 6 and Audi a6 can be tricky, but whatever your choice you need to know as much as possible about both to make an educated buy. Things like style and features, and performance/safety are all things to consider.
Style
The Mazda 6 is a Japanese made mid-size car that started production in 2002 by the Mazda car company. It is the most popular Mazda as of yet and is in its second generation. The current generation of the Mazda 6 was based on a chassis from a Mazda GH and is considered a sporty-style vehicle and is larger than previous versions. Transmission styles include 5 or 6 speed automatics and 5 or 6 speed manuals. Mazda 6s are currently used in several racing divisions as well, which says something about the driveability and handling. Mazda 6 comes in three styles, including a 5 door hatchback, wagon, and 4 door sedan.
The Audi a6 is a German made executive car that comes in the estate or saloon body styles. All of the 6 generations of the Audi a6 have come with front or four-wheel drive. The most modern generation of the a6 come with V6 and V8 engines and several different transmission styles. The 6 th generation also got a facelift to the front and rear ends of the car, with a more executive-style look to the front and altered brake and running lights on the rear.
Performance/Safety
The Mazda 6 comes with front impact airbags, overheard airbag, driver side airbag, as well as side impact bars, anti-lock brakes, panic alarm, and ignition disable. The Mazda 6 scored five out of five stars on most of the standard safety crash test ratings.
The Audi a6 is also a very safe car and includes anti-lock brakes, rear side airbag, security system, driver side impact airbags, front impact airbags, and overhead airbag, as well as occupancy sensor and daytime running lights.
